As the official photographer and videographer for the student delegation trip to Moscow, the role demands in capturing the essence and highlights of the experience.

A. Pre-Departure:

1. Briefing and Objectives:

  • Attend a comprehensive briefing to understand the trip's objectives, key events, and subjects of special interest. Align your shot list with these objectives.

2. Equipment Check:

  • Ensure all equipment is in working order, including cameras, lenses, batteries, memory cards, and any necessary audio equipment for videography. Consider backup equipment and weather protection gear.

  • Carry spare batteries and memory cards

3. Legal and Ethical Considerations:

  • Review and understand the privacy laws and consent requirements for photographing individuals, especially minors, in both the home country and Russia. Obtain necessary releases for image use.

B. During the Trip:

1. Event Coverage:

  • Cover all official events, including ceremonies, meetings, cultural visits, and informal interactions, capturing both planned moments and spontaneous interactions.

  • Coordinate group shots with participants to ensure everyone is comfortable.

2. Participant Focus:

  • Balance wide shots that capture the scale and atmosphere of events with close-up shots that highlight individual experiences and emotions.

  • Obtain consent before sharing images or videos featuring specific individuals.

  • Respect any requests for privacy.

3. Cultural Sensitivity:

  • Be mindful of cultural norms and sensitivities when shooting in Moscow, respecting guidelines for photography in religious, academic, or historical sites.

4. Collaboration with Media Team:

  • Work closely with the Media Coordinator to ensure coverage aligns with media and communication strategies. Share daily highlights for social media and press releases.

  • Be cautious in extreme temperatures or precipitation.

5. Backup and Storage:

  • Regularly backup your photos and videos to prevent loss.

  • Carry additional storage devices if needed.

6. Respect Security Procedures:

  • Avoid capturing images or videos during security screening procedures.

  • Follow instructions from airport security personnel.

7. Airplane Etiquette:

  • Be considerate of fellow passengers when taking photos on the airplane.

  • Avoid using flash in confined spaces.

C. Post-Trip:

1. Editing and Cataloging:

  • Edit photos and videos to enhance quality, ensuring a consistent look and feel that aligns with the delegation's branding. Catalog images and footage for easy access and distribution.

2. Delivery of Content:

  • Provide edited photos and videos to the designated contact within the agreed timeframe. Include a variety of formats suitable for different media, including high-resolution images for print and optimized files for web and social media.

3. Archiving:

  • Ensure all raw and edited content is securely archived for future access. Follow data protection guidelines when storing and sharing files.
