Parents
It's crucial to provide clear guidelines for parents to ensure they are well-informed and engaged throughout the process. Here are the guidelines tailored for parents:
A. Pre-Departure Preparations:
1. Information Sessions:
Attend pre-departure information sessions organized by the institution or Movsta to understand the objectives, itinerary, and expectations of the delegation trip.
2. Documentation and Compliances:
Complete and submit all required forms, including medical forms, consent forms, and any other necessary documentation requested by the institution or Movsta.
Submit Detailed medical history and insurance information for the student.
Provide an Emergency contact list of the child & collect a similar delegation from the institution.
Coordinate with the educational institution for Passport & Visa related processes.
3. Health & Safety:
Discuss any medical conditions, allergies or dietary restrictions of your child with the organizing team.
Review and understand the health and safety protocols shared by the institution or Movsta, including insurance coverage.
Don't neglect to communicate any changes in your child's health or circumstances and any special precautions because of that.
4. Packing & Other Necessities:
Provide a tiny fund or prepaid card for the student.
Review Packing guidelines and assist children with necessary items.
B. During the Trip Guidelines:
1. Communication:
Stay informed through the official channels of communication established collaboratively by the institution, Government & Movsta for updates and notifications regarding the trip.
Encourage your child to communicate regularly, respecting the tripβs schedule and time differences.
2. Support and Encouragement:
Encourage your child to fully participate in all scheduled activities and to embrace this learning and cultural exchange opportunity.
Virtually connect & provide emotional support and reassurance, especially if your child expresses any concerns or homesickness.
C. Post-Trip Guidelines:
1. Debriefing:
Participate in post-trip debriefing sessions, if offered, to understand the outcomes and experiences of the delegation.
Encourage your child to share their experiences, learnings, and any challenges they faced during the trip.
2. Continued Engagement:
Support your child in any post-trip projects, presentations, or activities that allow them to share their experiences with peers and apply their new knowledge.
Discuss ways to maintain the interest and knowledge gained from the trip, such as continued language learning or involvement in related extracurricular activities.
