A. Baggage Allowed:

Aeroflot Russian Airlines uses a piece concept system, which distinguishes between the class of travel and applicable fares.

  • If you are traveling in business class (all fare families), you can check in two bags of up to 32 kg per piece.

  • For those traveling in comfort class (all fare families) and economy class (premium fare), the airline allows check in of two baggage pieces, with a maximum weight of 23 kg per piece.

  • For economy class passengers of all other fare families, one bag that weighs up to 23 kg is allowed.

  • While business class travelers can carry hand baggage with a maximum weight of 15 kg, the weight of carry-on baggage is limited to 10 kg, for comfort class and economy class travelers.

  • The maximum linear dimension of check-in baggage must not exceed 158 cm.

Aeroflot Russian Airlines Extra Baggage Charges:

  • The excess baggage charges for Aeroflot Russian Airlines depend on excess baggage category, excess category, and route of operation.

  • As you are traveling from an Asian city to Russia, a second piece would cost you USD 100.

B. Prohibited items on board the aircraft:

  • Magnetized materials

  • Explosives and weapons

  • Poisonous substances

  • Flammable liquids

  • Flammable solids

  • Radioactive materials

  • Compressed and liquefied gas

  • Oxidizing agents and organic peroxides

  • Toxic substances

  • Caustic and corrosive substances

  • Small personal mobility aids powered by lithium batteries and other hazardous substances, items and goods that could be used to attack passengers, aircraft crew, or otherwise endanger the aircraft in flight.

C. Permitted items on board the aircraft:

  • Mercury-free medical thermometer

  • Mercury blood pressure monitor in a standard case – one per passenger

  • Barometer or mercury pressure gauge, packed in a leakproof container and sealed with the sender's stamp

  • Disposable lighters – one per passenger

  • Dry ice for chilling perishable food – no more than 2 kg per passenger

  • 3% hydrogen peroxide – no more than 100 ml per passenger

  • Non-hazardous liquids, gels and aerosols

  • Containers of up to 100 ml (or equivalent capacity in other units for measuring volume) packed in a securely sealed transparent plastic bag 1 liter or less in volume — one bag per passenger.

  • Containers of more than 100 ml are not accepted for transportation even if partially filled, except for: medicine, special dietary items and baby food, including breast milk, which are allowed for transportation in the volume required for the duration of the flight

D. Airport Security Checks:

  • Arrival: Arrive well in advance to complete check-in and security procedures.

  • Check-In Process: Present your travel documents at the check-in counter.

  • Tag your luggage properly and collect boarding passes.

  • Security Check: Be prepared for security screening & Remove items like belts, jackets, and electronic devices.

E. On the Flight:

1. Seat Assignment:

  • Locate your assigned seat and settle in.

  • Follow any seat distancing measures implemented due to COVID-19.

2. In-Flight Guidelines:

  • Follow instructions from the cabin crew regarding safety protocols.

  • Wear masks throughout the flight, and maintain hygiene practices.

3. Entertainment and Devices:

  • Bring personal entertainment devices and headphones.

  • Respect quiet hours for the benefit of all passengers.

4. Food and Beverages:

  • Adhere to guidelines for in-flight dining.

  • Inform the cabin crew of any dietary restrictions or allergies.

F. Flight Arrival in Moscow:

1. Immigration Process:

  • Queue up for immigration checks.

  • Present your passport, visa, and any required documents.

2. Customs Clearance:

  • Declare any items as per customs regulations..

  • Be aware of duty-free allowances.

3. Baggage Collection:

  • Collect your checked-in luggage promptly.

  • Verify luggage tags to ensure you have the correct bags.

4. Transportation Options:

  • Familiarize yourself with transportation options from the airport.
